"Rock, Roll and Remember" - Dick Clark
This page is dedicated to Dick Clark and remembrance of "American Bandstand" of the 50's and 60's.  The days of blue jeans and bobby socks. Crewcuts,  the ducktail, ponytails, poodle skirts, rock'nroll music and Elvis and all the great music makers of the Era.
The Era of fast cars, hamburger joints, and drive-in movies.  Anyone who remembers those days can certainly appreciate the effort it took to get things done.  In those days, mom stayed home and dad went to work.  The Monday night television programs were "I Love Lucy", "December Bride" and the "10 O'clock News and Weather" and of course "The Milton Burles Show".  Everyone in the family watch television together because there was only one television and one very fuzzy channel.
Friday and Saturday nights were the nights for your friends and cruisin' down main street in a hot rod after a movie, hamburger at the local drive-in restaurant.  Everyone was there, hipped and nerds.  Fun time after a week of hard work, and school.
So sit back, relax and enjoy the music while you let yourself go back to the days before rap, and hard rock.  Go back to the days of hamburger and cola or a rich milk shake before, clorestoral and heart disease.  Go back to the days before the local news became the high school shootings, drugs cartels, and latchkey children.  Let that be for awhile and relax.
Then come Sunday and after Church, it  was off to the lake to relax and catch a few fish or a ride in the country in the family car!
